Sum up the answers again
The shared reading is a summary of everyone’s answers that anyone may make, and the latest stands here for everyone until someone makes a better one. Reading the answers takes an AI, so it’s made through yours.
If your Claude has the beach connected, paste this in. It reads every answer, sums up each decision and the whole, and keeps the summaries here.
Or for a quick summary in its own window, made with your own key. It doesn’t keep one here.
The three circles
Three places a word can be: yours alone, ours for members only, and out in the open only with a yes.
Where each person's words belong. Yours alone, sealed with a key only you hold: your kept days, the Sundial content. Ours, read by members only: who is a member, who invited whom, what each can offer and could use, each person's room with its introductions and words, the notebooks' answers, and the meeting room's record. Open only with a yes, one thing at a time: a line shared with our story, an offer someone wants the wider community to see, and the bridge's picture for the organisation, which carries no names: the bridge content.
Today, part by part
As the app wrote Community Recovery's place on 27 October 2026: each day sealed in the phone before it leaves (now:<name>), with only the count open (mark:<name>); names and cards (passport:<name>), what each can offer at 1 and could use at 3; who invited whom (arrivals); each room (pool:<name>); the notebooks (agreement, constitution, standards, leadership and learning:<name>); the noticeboard; the meeting room's record (pool:meeting-room, empty so far). All but the days stand open to anyone on the internet.
What a name says
A name in Community Recovery's place tells the world its holder belongs to a recovery community, so the members' circle matters as much as the days: being named is health information, whatever the name holds. The privacy notice there (policies 2.3) already promises that health and recovery stay off the web.
Are these the three circles, and is every part of the app in the right one?
Yours alone: the days' seal
Your days are sealed in your phone today, but with the words the beach sees. Phase two seals them with a word that never leaves your phone.
The app already seals each day before it leaves the phone; what is missing is a key that is the person's alone. Today the three words are both the latch the beach checks and the seal, so they travel with every save and the beach keeps a check of them, and whoever runs the beach could open the days. Phase two seals with a second word of the person's own that never goes to the beach (coloured-stigmergy 1.8, GO from David and weft), makes each person's seal their own rather than one for the whole place, and seals the days already kept again the next time their owner opens them. Nothing is asked here beyond coloured-stigmergy's own decision.
The test it meets
leros-on-the-commons 1.1729, the app's done-when: 'nothing sealed can be read by anyone but its owner'. With the second word it holds against the beach's host too, and the app's own line, 'not even the Leadership team', becomes true of everyone.
Memorable first
The second word can be memorable, as the beach's guide to keys teaches (ways:key 6); someone at ease, whose password manager keeps keys on every device, may later choose a long random one. A lost sealing word loses the days sealed under it, as lost words already do (leros-on-the-commons 1.17218).
Ours: the members' circle
Names, invites, offers, rooms, notebooks and meetings, read by members only, with one key that a keeper hands each newcomer in person.
On the shared beach the second circle needs a group seal: one key for Community Recovery's members, a copy sealed to each, as the beach already keeps a group block (coloured-stigmergy 1.5), brought into the page as coloured-stigmergy's pages that seal bring it (its 1.1); on a private ground (the ground, at 1.1111 here) it can simply be who may read. Either way a keeper adds a newcomer in person, as lost words are reset; a person who leaves is taken off and the key turns; rooms take words only from members; an introduction is known by the crossing agent's own key, not by the name it signs; and the crossing agent reads offers and needs as a member does. A visitor still sees the front door, where and when, the constitution, the standards, and the noticeboard if the leaders keep it open.
Which parts go behind the members' circle first: the names and who invited whom, offers and needs, the rooms, the notebooks, the meeting room's record? Name them in your line.
Open only with a yes: the bridge
Nothing goes further without a yes, asked each time and for that one thing, and always able to be taken back.
David's tick, made precise: a yes for each kind of sharing, asked at the moment of sharing, never one tick at the door for everything, and always able to be taken back. 'Share a line with our story' already works this way: one line, the person's name, the day still sealed. The bridge to recovery capital (leros-on-the-commons 1.13) asks the same way, and the organisation reads only the picture across members: no names, no scores, nothing shown until enough have spoken.
Forget me
Takes back everything a person shared. Today it removes their card, days, notebooks and room, and leaves their story lines, the notes they left in others' rooms, and their arrival.
The words of the yes, and where it is asked: at each share, and once more before the bridge first carries a day?
The ground, and who answers for it
Where the place lives decides who could read it at all, and who answers for it: the shared beach, a private CLERO site, or the LERO’s own beach.
Privacy has levels, and the ground is the first. One, the shared beach as now: open by design, private only by sealing; David hosts it, holds its store and backups, and every lost-words reset needs him (leros-on-the-commons 1.17218); right for a test with people who know what they are part of (its 1.1113). Two, a private site for the CLERO network: one ground only its members can read at all, each LERO a place within it, the national picture read there, its host and who pays named by CLERO. Three, each LERO its own beach under its own domain, the LERO as host and data controller, stood up from the pscale-beach package as any operator does, the network reading across by reference, never by copy. The levels combine: a LERO on its own beach still seals each member's days and keeps its members' circle.
Who answers
Community Recovery is a non-constituted group supported by The Forward Trust, whose address is its contact; Matthew builds and keeps; the meeting room's AI is Anthropic's. Whatever the ground, the data controller is named before members keep real days, and the privacy notice (policies 2, in Community Recovery's place) says what is truly kept, the backups included. A sealed day is still personal data: the seal lowers the risk; it does not lift the duty.
Which ground for Community Recovery's trial, and which for the network; who is the data controller; and does The Forward Trust's data protection lead see this first? This answers leros-on-the-commons 1.11138, with the private CLERO site added.
The order of work
The seal, then the members’ circle, then the yes, then the ground; only then anything new. Each is tried on a trial name first.
The meeting room's record (pool:meeting-room) is open as built, so it stays off until the members' circle is sealed. Then, each step useful alone and tried on a trial name before Community Recovery's people use it: one, the days' seal; two, the members' circle; three, a yes at each share and at the bridge, and Forget me taking everything; four, the ground and the controller settled with The Forward Trust; five, only then the rest of the app's after-list (leros-on-the-commons 1.1729): holding the heart, leaders seeing what members allow, a private channel once an introduction is taken up, and the bridge itself.
Who does what
Matthew builds in the app, as he has. The seal and the group ring are made once for every page on the beach, by David and weft, where coloured-stigmergy places them, and the app takes them in. David hosts, and runs any reset in person. Community Recovery's leaders decide their own place.
Phase two as a whole: privacy before anything new, in this order?
Where it lands: one spine for both
This belongs inside Matthew’s proposal as its next rung, once he and David share its lock.
The obvious end of phase two is inside leros-on-the-commons, as its next rung, written in place. That needs leros-on-the-commons and its law under a lock Matthew and David both hold: Matthew moves them onto it with one write each, and the phrase passes privately between them (two-spines 1.1111). Until then this proposal stands beside his, nested after it in each person's arrangement, and Matthew may take any of it in by his own write.
Move leros-on-the-commons and its law onto a lock Matthew and David both hold, so phase two is written into it in place?
Around the proposal
Where it came from
Seeded from spine:leros-on-the-commons 1.1729, the app's done-when and its after-list. On 27 October 2026 David asked weft to read Community Recovery's app from the outside (his card at ahead:leros-timeline:happyseaurchin 2.2), and the reading found 1.1729's own test, 'nothing sealed can be read by anyone but its owner', not yet met. The phase went first to Matthew's addresses, in leros-on-the-commons:weft, but its rung had no address there, so it grew from the nearest one (two-spines 1.1 and 1.1111).
The page
https://happyseaurchin.com/proposal/leros-phase-two draws this family from its blocks alone. A section for Matthew's crafted page (phenomemental.github.io/happyseaurchin-beach/leros-on-the-commons.html), in his look, was made the same day and handed to David to offer him, to slot in after 'Members pay nothing' or change as he sees fit.
Provenance
Written by weft (Claude Code, Opus 5.5, on David's Mac, lane LERO.1) at David's word on 27 October 2026: 'create a second proposal, phase 2 as an offering … Either he changes the first to include it, or we work on this second one.' Read that day from the app as served at phenomemental.github.io/community-recovery, Community Recovery's place on the beach, and leros-on-the-commons. Under the shared project lock, so David corrects it directly; Matthew keeps leros-on-the-commons and may take any of this into it.
